There's a bible verse that says "As we think, so we are" and another one that says to
think about all the Good Things "Whatever is lovely, whatever is true, whatever is of a good report" etc
Our thoughts - those things we dwell on or we like to remember, definitely do influence our mood
don't they, and determine how we feel? Therefore. choosing what we think about is a
Key to happier days!
Remember that ideals
are like stars up in the sky,
You can never really reach them,
hanging in the heavens high
But like the mighty mariner
who sailed the storm-tossed sea,
And used the stars to chart his course
with skill and certainty
You too can chart your course in life
with high ideals and love,
For high ideals are like the stars
that light the sky above
You cannot ever reach them,
but lift your heart up high
And your life will be as shining
as the stars up in the sky.

Just As You Are
Destructive thoughts within our minds
can keep us in despair...
those doubts and insecurities
are not worth the pain they bear.
It's sad to carry baggage
that causes grief and shame...
and in time we come to realize
we have ourselves to blame.
We can choose our way of thinking
and ask God to give us peace...
as we pray for a healthy attitude,
our negative thoughts will cease.
These human hearts are fragile
and sometimes we can't see...
it takes some effort on our part
to find worth and security.
Don't let those demons haunt you
and keep you in the dark...
just know that God, who formed you,
loves you just the way you are.

It's Up To You
One song can spark a moment,
One flower can wake the dream.
One tree can start a forest.
One bird can herald spring.
One smile begins a friendship,
One handclasp lifts a soul.
One star can guide a ship at sea,
One word can frame the goal.
One vote can change a nation,
One sunbeam lights a room.
One candle wipes out darkness,
One laugh will conquer gloom.
One step must start each journey,
One word must start each prayer.
One hope will raise our spirits,
One touch can show you care.
One voice can speak with wisdom,
One heart can know what's true.
One life can make the difference,
You see, it's up to you!
Promise yourself to be so strong that nothing can
disturb your peace of mind.
To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to
every person you meet.
To make all your friends feel like there is
something in them.
To look at the sunny side of everything and make your
optimism come true.
To think only of the best, to work only for the best,
and expect only the best.
To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others
as you are about your own.
To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to
greater achievements of the future.
To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give
every living person you meet a smile.
To give so much time to the improvement of yourself
that you have no time to criticize others.
To be too big for worry, too noble for anger, and too
strong for fear, and too happy to permit
the presence of trouble.
Brighten Your Corner
Brighten your corner with Gratitude;
it is the candle of contentment.
Brighten your corner with Kindness;

Brighten your corner with Cheerfulness;
it is the light of good will.
Brighten your corner with Joy;
it is the window to health.
Brighten your corner with Humor;
it is the sunshine of the soul.
Brighten your corner with Faith;
it is the door to discovery.
Brighten your corner with Generosity;
it is the portrait of character.
Brighten your corner with Enthusiasm;
it is the torch of achievement.
Brighten your corner with Work;
it is the lantern of success.
Brighten your corner with Patience;
it is the reflection of maturity.
Brighten your corner with Love;
it is the power of Brotherhood.
Brighten your corner with Prayer;
it is the lamp of understanding.

A Cheerful Heart
To make our lives more meaningful,
it takes a cheerful heart...
and loving life and living it
each day as a brand new start.
It takes a positive attitude
when trials come our way...
and having the strength to carry on
and taking the time to pray.
Life is what we make it,
for the time that we are here...
so start each day with a cheerful heart
and see miracles appear.
